Catchacoma Lake
Catchacoma Lake is part of a 7 lake chain located in the Kawartha Highlands with about 22 miles of boating. Connecting to Beaver Lake, Cavendish Lake, Cold Lake, McGinnis Lake, Gold Lake and Mississagua Lake. Almost 1700 acres in size, this beautiful lake will take your breath away with its amazing tree-line, sunsets, wildlife and more, leaving you recharged and rejuvenated after spending only a few short hours on or at the waters edge. Granite outcroppings, glorious water and borders on Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park. Catchacoma is an Ojibwa name meaning Big Water. The lake is about 4 miles long and has Large & Small mouth Bass, Trout, Perch & Sunfish. About 144′ at its deepest part, the lakes water level is regulated by a damn on Mississagua Lake.
There is one marina on this lake located in Baldwin Bay and it is owned by about 70 cottagers that purchased the marina in 2012. It is a not for profit marina, this history is pretty cool make sure to check out their web site below. There is another Marina on Mississagua Lake and it is Little Gull Marina with snacks, gas, docking and boat repair.

This lake really is a must see if you are looking for a cottage in the area. You are about 25 mins to Buckhorn where you will find everything you need including the Trent Severn Waterway, Restaurants, Ice Cream, LCBO, Grocery Store and Hardware store.
