Mississauga Lake

Mississagua Lake is part of a 7 Lake Chain. Gold Lake, Cold Lake, Beaver Lake, McGinnis Lake, Catchacoma Lake and Cavendish Lake.  This lake is not open for Ice Fishing as it is a fish sanctuary from December 1st – the Friday before the 3rd Saturday in May. You will find Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, Lake Trout, Walleye, Muskie &  Yellow Perch. The maximum depth of the lake is about 130′ and the average depth is about 58′. Water flows into the lake through Catchacoma narrows. The water level is controlled by a dam on the south end that exits into the Mississagua River. You cannot boat between the river and the lake because of the dam. Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park is located on the east side of the lake. Lots of wildlife and green space. The lake is serviced with one Marina, The Little Gull Marina  http://www.littlegullmarina.ca/

A public boat launch is located at the south end of the lake off of Dam Road.

You can be in Bobcageon in about 25-30 mins or Buckhorn in about 20 min. Both towns are lovely and have pretty much everything you would be looking for to make your cottage experience that much better. Patio’s, Shopping, Groceries, Building stores and so much more!
