Staging, that is the questions – New Build or a Flip House

Staging your home refers to a method of decorating your home that is designed to showcase its best assets, impress buyers, and sell it quickly for the highest possible price.

Although staging is optional in many cases it shouldn’t be. Remember, selling your home or cottage is one of the biggest investments and financial transactions that you will do no matter how many times over.

Did you know that not staging your home can actually affect your selling price? It can also affect how long your house is on the market. Now again if your property is worth 600,000. and you list it for a million it may sit for a while regardless of staging so a bit of common sense is required. That conversation we will save for another blog post. lol

This picture above when I look at it I am wondering where the bed could go, is there room for a dresser or a chair, maybe a reading nook. I don’t know???
Well in the next picture the room comes to life.  Potential buyers aren’t just looking for a house. they are looking for a home.  A place to build a life and make memories.  Staging creates a more emotional purchase for the buyer, which ultimately generates more money for your (seller).
Other things to remember are –
Declutter – I always hate that, I think its offensive to say to people but its true.. clutter on a counter top or table, hallway or bedroom can really impact the space.
Depersonalize – family photos,
Get rid of odours
